Allo, Deviant Art!

Figured it was time for an update. It's been a while. I'm sorry, but I get lazy about this stuff sometimes.

1. Almost done with my Elkwood Illustrations. Posted 3 two weeks ago, and two this week. Only 3 left to go. If I keep up this speed, I could have it done in 1-2 weeks. It's been a learning experience, this series, as well as an exercise in patience. For the past 2 years since I started it, I have had to draw in the same style and remain consistent, instead of exploring new techniques and challenges. This has made for a pretty cramped box, artistically speaking. So while I very much have enjoyed making every piece for this series, I am eager to move on to my next project, soon to be announced.

2. My wonderful husband researched and bought me a refurbished Fujitsu T5010. For those not in the know, it's a fancy schmancy Tablet PC, with indoor-outdoor screen and upgrades galore! We had to install a screen protector and do some research regarding the sensitivity issues, but it's working great for the light stuff I do so far! My next project will be much more digitally demanding, so I will be hitting up this joint for tutorials and what not in the hopes of becoming somewhat proficient at digital painting/coloring that this machine truly deserves.

3. Signed up for an artist's table at Sac-Con. Clicky! If you live in the Sacramento area, you can come see me on December 13th and maybe buy a couple of my prints. I'll be selling full color semi-glossy 8x10's. If you have any requests from the gallery and think you might be going, send me a note and I'll be sure to save it for you. It's my first con, so I'm a little nervous. Only pushing the art for now, but I hope to be selling comic books in the future. Any tips or advice is welcomed.
